Mirza Teletovic is considered one of the best talents to come out of Europe in the recent years. Born in Mostar, Bosnia Herzegovina,  grew up playing in a small city of Jablanica and took his talents onwards across Europe. He has developed into all around player that poses great size and an equally solid touch which gives him an opportunity to put up large numbers every time he steps on the court. Only months ago, after playing for years in Europe, was he picked up by the newly formed Brooklyn Nets, as he signed a 3 year deal and his dream to play one day in the NBA had finally come true.

Now the question is will Mirza get the chance and playing time to showcase his talent. We all know as much talent the NBA has it’s still a business and sometimes the players who might deserve to play and are as talented as the starting 5 never really get a chance to show the world who they really are.

A perfect example is Drazan Petrovic, if not the best basketball player to ever come out of Europe till this day had to come over major obstacles and hurdles for him to finally get a chance to show his talent. Drafted by Portland and not really given a lot of playing time, he stuck it out until he was finally traded to the New Jersey Nets.

If not for the tragic loss of Drazan Petrovic we believe he was on his way to shock the world and show how much talent exists if only given a chance to showcase it on the top stage. A lot of great players have made that leap into the NBA from Europe and have achieved great success but only when given the opportunity to do so. We know Mirza Teletovic is a great talent and so do the Brooklyn Nets, so let’s just hope they give him the playing time to show the world what a Bosnian basketball player can do.
