Another Bosnian Hits the Big Stage – Sevilla FC Sign Stevanovic
After months of speculation, Sevilla FC finally completed the signing of Bosnian midfielder Miroslav Stevanovic from Serbian side Vojvodina Novi Sad for a period of three years. The contract is slated to end after the 2016-2017 season. The La Liga club said in a statement on their website that they’re overly excited to sign the Bosnian National Team midfielder, a move that should help plug the holes in the team’s midfield.
The 22-year-old had passed a series of medical tests and would be presented at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium on later this week. The financial details were not given, but Stevanovic is valued at 1.75 million euros (1.4 million pounds) on the website transfermarkt.com, which tracks deals for football players.
Aside from an exciting opportunity for the young Bosnian, the most exciting part for the Bosnian fans is that he’ll be joining another Bosnian team mate – Emir Spahic at the Andalusian club. Likely the two will form a fine duo and further solidify their play together not only as teammates at Sevilla FC, but also on the national stage.
